Leading the Church
Family Today
Rev. Dr. Joseph Payin Ezekiel is the General Overseer of Christian Service Church at Jungle Avenue Road, East Legon, Accra. He is a pastor and a teacher of the Word. Christian Service Church was started by his father, the late Rev. Captain (Rtd) James C. Ocran, and he now leads the church, continuing the work his father began.
His Life and Ministry
He grew up in a Christian home and gave his life to Jesus Christ at a young age. That decision shaped everything that followed. He answered the call to ministry because he believes the church must go back to plain preaching of the Word and true dependence on the Holy Spirit.
He preaches the gospel, trains leaders and serves the community. People who listen to him say his teaching is clear and easy to follow, and that he explains the Bible in a way that anybody can understand and apply.
Under his leadership, Christian Service Church has grown into a church family of all ages — children, youth, women, men and the elderly. He is a husband and a father, and he serves in the ministry together with his wife and children.
"Feed my sheep. Teach them my Word. Lead them to my presence." That is the call this ministry is built on, and it has not changed.
The Vision for the Church
A church where you feel the presence of God — where every meeting means something, and is not just routine. A church where the Word is preached with power and lived out honestly. A church where broken people find healing and every believer finds the work God has for them.
A church that is a real family — where nobody stands alone, where love is more than talk, and where we carry one another the way Christ carries us. A church that goes beyond its own walls to reach Accra, Ghana and other nations with the gospel.
This is not just a dream. This is what God is building among us here in East Legon.
